Caliber Conversion Kits for the 550 contain a Shellplate, 3 Locator Buttons, and a Powder Funnel.

Sometimes, Caliber Conversion Kits for different calibers use the same Shellplate. Let's call that situation a Caliber Conversion "Crossover." Here's an example:

A common Crossover is for 45 ACP & 308 Win. The Caliber Conversion Kits for both calibers use the same Shellplate AND Locator Buttons. So, to load 45 and 308, you'd buy a 45 ACP Caliber Conversion Kit and a 308 Powder Funnel.

Another common Crossover is for 9mm & 40 S&W. Both Caliber Conversion Kits use the same Shellplate - but, different Locator Buttons and Powder Funnels. So if you're going to load 9mm and 40, you would buy a 9mm Caliber Conversion Kit, then to load 40, you would only need a 40 caliber Powder Funnel and (Qty. 3) 40 caliber Locator Buttons.

Continuing on with the above example, if you will also load 38 Special, the Locator Buttons required to load 40 come in a 38 Special Caliber Conversion Kit.

Or in other words, to load 9mm, 38 Special, and 40 S&W, you'd buy 9mm and 38 Special Caliber Conversion Kits, and a 40 caliber Powder Funnel.
