If you ream it to super...it will be VERY sloppy and will bulge cases pretty badly.
That said...people still do it
Are you having ejection problems with the 9mm?

No...everything is running fine with the 9MM..I just tried the 38 super barrel in my Trubor and everything fits fine and cycles fine...I just didn't want to try and fire it without seeing if it would work first.

More to your point: Be very, very cautious trying merely to drop in a barrel. My advice is to use a gunsmith to fit the barrel to your pistol before firing it. Timing is everything.

Not really...that trend seems to have stopped and maybe even reversed. There have been a few other threads where this was discussed. When anybody could get really cheap once-fired 9mm brass it made more sense, but in many places that well has dried up as fewer law enforcement agencies are carrying 9s....i.e. if you have to buy brass anyway the price difference between 9 and Super/SC is just a couple of bucks per thousand. and if you reload the Super/SC lasts far longer.
For the OP, if you're not familiar with barrel fitting and timing issues, it might not be a great idea to pop another barrel in it and shoot it. It sounds like it's working, but that doesn't mean it's not in the process of shearing the lugs or something else bad. R,

Just a quick update...got the new barrel in and test fired it...runs perfectly so far with 200 rounds down the barrel.

Cripple, like G-man stated.
I would strongly suggest taking it to a good Gun Smith that knows the guns in our sport and how we use them.
In my mind the Pistol may "run" but still need fitting and timing done.
You may damage the barrel and or slide soon at the least.
Call a "Smith" for a educated opinion.

+1 on not using a barrel not fit to your gun. Just because your gun is running doesn't mean damage is not being done.
