Walter- Yes, it is just over the bay from Tampa. The range is approximately 15 minutes from the Tampa International Airport area.

Do I need to be a member of IDPA to shoot the match? What about being classified? I haven't shot IDPA for a couple years and there was never a classifier match I was able to attend.

Randy,

Yes you do need to be a member of IDPA to shoot a Sanctioned Match and you do need to be classified. We are holding two at our club between now and the state match (which probably does not help you a whole lot...)

We are starting to get a lot of applications in this week, perhaps it's because people that have gone to our website (www.wacactionshooting.com) to get the application realize that the match fee goes up on 15 Jan (from $110 to $125).
Might be time for you to find a stamp and a checkbook.

We're sold out!
With twelve shooters per squad, we are saying we are done selling the match. We have started a Stand-By list for any new applications. You can still send in an application/check (which we won't deposit unless we get you a hard slot) but getting squad and schedule preferences is unlikely.
If you are already registered but know for a fact that you can't attend, please let us know so we can let someone else in.
Thanks for the great response!

This was a great match. Kicked my butt. The shooting challenge was up there with any match I have shot. Dan, Charles, Shannon, EB, Dave, Lenny, Pete, Roger, Bill, Ricky Bobby, Jeff, Frank, and Linda. Good job.

I hate to lose in at my home range.
Trust me, I know what I'm doing....

Results are posted at www.wacactionshooting.com
We had a good time, mostly good weather (saturday morning was rainy, but no bagging of targets), excellent staff from throughout the state, and a pretty decent prize drawing. FWIW, one of the first sponsors to step up to support the match was brianenos.com
Thanks again Brian!
