I've had it happen on all kinds of brass that has been reloaded to much. You Marks A Lot Trick? If they go in to easy, but don't fall right out, you can run a marker over them and it will seal them in. I then mark the outside of the case too and throw it away after I shoot it. This way it won't fall out and you don't waste a primer.

Oh god yes. With my 38 supers, I had a whole bunch of stretched out primer pockets, only with nickel plated casings. I found that after loading a couple hundred rounds of nickel cases, if I put them in the tumbler for a few minutes (less than 5) any loose primers would fall out and I wouldn't have to worry about having a loose primer ruin a match for me. For what it's worth...

I'm not having issues with "nickel" brass specifically, but I can say 9major seems really hard on primer pockets. Are you using brass that may have been shot in an open gun? I also tumble loaded ammo to check for loose primers.

Yes, it could be 9mm Open Major brass, I just thought that it was funny that only the nickel brass was causing this issue. I never thought about tumbling loaded ammo, that's a good idea. Thanks

I just started loading 9 major and I'm up to the 3rd reload on some cases and I have yet to detect any loose primer pockets. I have a batch of about 20 or so that I chase down and reload with each fresh batch of ammo to get the count up. I'm working up loads so I should be able to get these reloaded several times fairly quickly to see what gives out first, primer pockets or split cases. So far, so good, no real problems.
