I'm looking at getting a 14.5" upper with a pinned flash hider to put on my Cav-15 lower. This'll be used as a plinker, house gun, and maybe for short range "hoser" matches. I've pretty well narrowed it down to CMMG and BCM, both seem to have a solid reputation, so I don't know if one's going to be better than the other. Am I just comparing Lamborghinis and Ferraris, or is one really better than the other for my purposes?
Rico continued to take care of himself, his hair, and his gun--with excellent results.

You would likely be happy with either. I would just go with the CMMG simply because I have more experience with them.

seems Bravo company has a cult-type following with unrealistic claims of higher quality than any other mil-spec parts. Ive seen the 14.5 inch barrels with a large burr on the gas port hole inside the bore..
Nothing wrong with BCM parts, seems their bolt carrier groups and barrels are over priced for milspec parts...and they may be worth it for some... but i havent drank the Kool-Aide

Always shoot to win.
