Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement follower? I tried the Nordic but it limited the capacity by 1 round.

Clip about 6 coils off the spring and it should work. I believe the spring is binding up and not absorbing inside the follower.

Clipping six coils makes the gun much easier to load while still being reliable too. Also.....you may want to run the Nordic mag spring as it is just a bit smaller in diameter and also made of chrome silicon which will last longer. I believe the factory spring is made of piano wire. Install the Nordic spring with 8-10" sticking out past the end of the tube.
Speed is Fine,Accuracy is final....but accurate hits at extremely high speed is final much faster.

Amateurs do it til they get it right. Professionals do it til they can't get it wrong.

yep....of all the springs out there, the FN spring is about the biggest diameter of any of them. They just don't coil up in the Nordic follower. The Nordic Spring is a chrome silicon spring and will last a very long time....and you will not sacrifice that round either!!

Perfect timing for my question...... I take it that the newer style Nordic follower has the same inside diameter as the older one with the angled grooves across the ribs? I tried it today and realized that the spring would not fit inside it cleanly. Does the older one work and fit exactly the same in the FN? Sounds like I need a spring at least to change out the crapper plastic follower.

The older Nordic Gold followers...may or may not work in the FN shotguns. Depends on whether or not they stick out the tube too far. We adjusted the chamfer on the follower to fit and changed the color to Gray (I think it's gray...I'm colorblind...I just know they are not gold anymore). The ID is still the same and I would suggest using the Nordic spring in the FN shotgun.

I tried a couple combo's and lost the round both ways. I have the new gray follower and Nordic springs. The new follower with either spring makes me sacrifice the round by leaving it about 5/8" from going in. I cut the Nordic spring to the same length as the factory spring to start with. Unless I miss-counted coils and messed up the wire diameter measurement, the Nordic spring as I cut it should have a solid height less than the factory spring. But, with the Nordic spring the same amount of the 8th round is hanging out. Are both springs bindng the same way inside the follower? I am perplexed. Is cutting the spring to just 10" over the tube going to make the difference in the way it coils? thanks

I went down to 10" over and I can get them all in. It really felt like it was hitting something solid.

Are they all grey now or do I need to ask for a grey one. If so who's got them.

12 gauge followers from Nordic are now Gray.

20 gauge followers will either be blue or gold.

Had the same issue. See my post here:

If you are a USPSA member, the for sale board has the same springs I bought.
