Working on this for a friend. Colt Officers Model Match in .22 Mag has random misfires in double action. Sometimes 1/6, sometimes 5/6, or any were in between. In single action it fires every time. I thought that it was light pin strikes and bent the main spring to make the hammer fall stronger and this did not help. When looking at the fired brass (in comparison to the brass that my 1911 convertion spits out )the pin strike is very deep and angled toward the center of the brass. looked at the SAMMI specs for the depth of the rim seating in the cylinder and it is on the deep edge of the specs. I am looking for help, ideas, or resources that might point to the diagnoses.
