Need to spot re-finish a STI Spartan

I'm going to smooth a few sharp corners on the frame of my Spartan. If it had a blue finish, I'd use the spot blue product Brownells sell. Any sugestions on a product I could use on the Spartan's finish (parkerized?). I'll eventually have the whole pistol re-finished. I'm only looking for a short term rust preventer.

Hello: I undercut the trigger gaurd and did some other work on my Spartan a year and a half ago and it still has not rusted. You may not need to redo yours untill you have the final finish done on it. Thanks, Eric
