Do you mean from a Gen 1 to a Gen 2?

Yes to answer your question, when I talked to Burris a couple of months ago they told me it would cost ~ $120 to get the new thinner reticle. I plan to send mine in here in about a week after my next 3-Gun to get the newer reticle and to have my first gen illumination switch replaced. They said that they will replace the switch for free.

Stew,
I talked to Burris again today, I asked for technical service and the guy said yes they could upgrade my reticle to the new one and then I asked are you sure and he said let me check... When he got back on the phone the answer was no.
I asked about the illumination, would my first gen be brighter when they replace the defective switch and once again I had to wait for him to check and then he said no, probably not...
So I guess I was led down the garden path and promoted the misinformation. Sorry about that.
My XTR is going back to them in about a week to get the new illumination switch. In spit of it all I still like the scope allot and will continue to use it.

Steve,
Glad you were able to get your Euro Diamond upgraded. The guy I spoke with, and once again this was the guy who seemed to have to ask someone else for the answer to all of my questions said that the way the XTR is built they could not (or maybe would not) upgrade the reticle.
Oh, well I am still having fun with my original.
