Just brought my new 625 home to meet the rest of the family. So far my Glock 19 and the Smith are getting along....but I predict the Glock will probably begin to get a little jealous once I start spending time getting acquainted with the Smith.
Now comes the fun part....Accessorizing! Just one question though, and yes I know its a FNG question....I CAN shoot it WITHOUT moonclips, correct?

Yup---but ACP cases won't eject, you have to poke them out. You can run 45 Auto Rim brass and it will eject.
"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. the supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States.”

Look in the box. It has to have come with at least one moon clip.

Maybe, don't be surprised if it won't.
I had a 6 in 25 that I foolishly sold years ago that worked without moons. Just had to have a ball point pen to drive out the empties.
The 625-3 that replaced the 25 only does so half the time.
The 625-8 that I currently use in USPSA Revo definitely does not. (Even before I had the chambers reamed. It definitely needs the moonclips now)
Look up Ranch Products and order 100 moon clips from them.
Getting older by the day and definitely fat. Maybe that explains why I am not getting any faster...

sorry guys i should have been more specific...it did come with 3 moonclips, but i'm damn sure not gonna try to load those clips by hand. not fun! so until i can get a "mooner", just wanted to make sure I can still shoot it without ammo being loaded onto clips. of course the manual says NOT to do that, same as it says NOT to use reloads (yes, dear!)........

Putting them in isn't bad, but taking them out stinks. Search for "golf" in this forum, there are some pics of my chopped golf club demooner. If you have a dremel or angle grinder, it's less than a minute to make, and so far has lasted me 15k rounds or so without any noticeable wear.

If you are planning on using your 625 for competition, I would suggest you never even buy any .45 rimmed brass. Yes it will shoot and yes, it will eject, but the problem is you have to be real particular not to get the rimmed brass mixed in with the .45 ACP. It makes a mess during the reloading process.
