Where does a person find some reasonably priced DPMS LR308 mags, or if other mags can be modified to fit in the DPMS where can they be found at a reasonable price?

The supply on 19 round DPMS 308 magazines is not so good at present...I know a buyer at a particular wholesale outfit that has had them on backorder since July ;)

ETA: nope only DPMS pattern mags fit...Armalite pattern AR-10 mags will not.

Magpul showed a prototype PMAG to fit DPMS/SR25 pattern .308 rifles at SHOT last year. They have not yet materialized but hopefully will. MSRP on them I think is ~$20, so may be worth waiting for those.

Jeff,
Sold a bunch of them with no returns, if that's worth anything. The Magpuls remain vaporware...

i bought 10 of the CProducts mags. they will hold 20 rounds, but will not fit in either my JP or my DPMS with the bolt closed. They do feed reliably. they are not as expensive as the DPMS mags. i like them, but they will not do a full load re-load with the bolt forward.

Good to know re: 20rd reload...never got to actually test one.

I recommend the C-products mags over factory DPMS. They are cheaper and they seem to have less problems.

+1 for www.44mag.com

Palmetto State Armory also has them.

got 1 of the Cproducts mags, does not drop free 100%, finish feels kinda thick and rubs off easy, hard to load with 20 on a closed bolt. I'm sticking with my DPMS 19 rounders. (and my secret 28 rounder!)

Midway is quoting mid-November availability on the PMAGs. I have some DPMS mags NIW that I'm not using if anyone is desperate.

Thanks for the input, I will check out 44mag. I had looked on Midway, and found the same thing that they were backordered... I did not want to wait that long though.

Good luck with your quest, I too love the DPMS magazines...and I will up Ken's count to my 32 round DPMS 308 magazine by Bill Sahlberg!

Seems like $40 is pretty much the going rate.

Here is a link on the best I know of.

Sportsmans Guide

$100 for 3 or $90 for 3 if a member there.

Another one for $35

Hope these posted, too many connectivity problems tonight.

Ok, so I will link to 44mag.com and say DPMS in stock for $28 and CProducts for $18.

Magpul is rumored not shipping until next year. If ever available, those will be real popular. CProducts had variable quality on the 308 mags; with a $28 price on DPMS mags, I will stick with them.
