I have an AimPoint micro that is going on a Glock 17 with an SJC comp on a KKM drop-in barrel. It can be frame mounted (SJC mount) or AimPoint has a nice slide mount for this optic. I am looking for those that have experience with both types of mounts to get some feedback on the plus or minuses and other experiences that I might want to consider. Thanks John

That Micro look like quite a chunk to be riding the slide.

Frame.

I don't even want to imagine what that thing would look like moving on the slide. I would think getting a sight picture on quick doubles would be horrific....

The Aimpoint, is really nice but I wouldn't want something of that weight residing on the slide.

Just my own opinion.

Frame mount all the way… Adding that weight to the slide is definitely going to slow down the cycling. With the comp and that added weight you would need some hefty loads to make it fast and reliable. Most of the time you lighten your slide for an open gun.

It looks like the frame mount is the way to go. Thanks for the information. John
