I dont know what you can learn from this but Ill throw it out there. I totally fell apart on the last stage of the day yesterday. It started out with forgetting to reload, gun went dry and Im thinking WTF. Reload and finish off the target, move to next set of targets and hit a no shoot, then proceed to get 2 mikes on the other targets. I dont think I was distracted by anything but I sure was brain dead.

Ah, ...don't beat yourself up. On the last classifier I shot (CM 03-08), I double tap'd a "1 shot per" then got so bent, I think I hit every "no shoot" and missed one target altogether. Final percentage score for the stage: 9.5

Needless to say, that is my lowest classifier score.

Shot 99-23 Front Sight. First string T1 good hits, T2 good hits, T3 D/A hit so I IMMEDIATELY cranked off another round for THREE hits. Final tally was 9-A, 3-C, the single D hit and 2 penalties for Extra Hit and Extra Shot. Cost me 2 HF.

Same match required you to engage targets in front of table A, move briefcase to table B while engaging targets through the PORT, leave briefcase on table B and engage final target array. Procedurals for not having the briefcase in your weak hand while engaging targets through the port, or any targets engaged while the briefcase was on the ground. Engaged the first two targets through the port before I realized I forgot to grab the briefcase off table A.

Same COF, the MD engaged the last array and immediately realized that the briefcase slid off the table. He gigged himself before the scoring had even started. "Well that's 3 procedurals!!"

We were the ones that wrote the rules for that stage.

We like to refer to those as senior moments.

I got so exited to go down and shoot prone on a stage (having never done this before) that I blew past an array of pepper poppers. I had no idea I failed to engage them until the stage was scored.
