O.K., I'm a total noob about AR Triggers. I have a lower with 60 rds on it. Today, As I would let off the trigger to feel the reset, the rifle would fire. If I let off the trigger completely, it would reset 25% of the time. Got home and cleaned it out with carb cleaner and everything appears to be clean (no grit or trash I can see).It doesn't matter if I'm standing, sitting, running, prone, off a bench or whatever. I thought about bump fire but it doesn't matter how I'm holding the rifle or what position I'm in. Is this something I can fix or does it need to go to the smith'? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the disconnector and sear are not timed correctly. It is not a big deal to fix.
If I had eyes in my A#$ I could see S#$% coming!!!

Here is a great link to understand how an AR 2-stage trigger works.

Does that mean I need an entire trigger group, disconnector or can the existing group be worked on and put back in time? thanks for any info.

Just take the disconector out and shave about .020" off the bottom of the front foot. That will allow the disconector to rotate forward a bit more and delay dropping the hammer until the trigger has returned far enough to catch it.

Or just buy a new disconnector and hammer!
