Finally got this thing together after almost a year of messing around.

Started out as Remington Sendero .25-06 which was well shot and the throat was pretty much gone. Decided to go with the .280 Ackley Improved, 28" Pacnor barrel, 1 in 8 twist, Bennie's Rolling Thunder Comp, and a 6-24 x 50 Sightron SIII.

After some initial problems determining seating depth I was able to shoot a couple of groups that are pretty good yesterday.
One is with Ramshot Magnum and 162 grain Amaxs and the other is with RL-22 and 180 grain Bergers. All groups are shot at 200 yards.
Still have some experimenting to do, but I will probably stick with the 180's for the high BC.

Damn... that is cool. Just because I was curious, I plugged your 180 Berger into the handloads.com ballistic calculator... at MV 2600 FPS and G1-BC of 0.613, it should still be going over 1400 FPS at 1000 yards. SWEET!

Get the light gun, you will end up there anyway, so you can shoot both. Remember light is fast, heavy is slow.
