Please note your class as A reference of what class does or does not.
I am M class and adjust mine to suit the type of targets in a stage.

Depending on the type of day; If its bright and sunny and/or the suns at my back, full on. Any other time I turn it full on, than turn it down a smidge so its not a glaring bright dot...

Indoors I like to turn down the dot to where I can just see through it to the targets. Helps if one or two targets are a little bit in the shadows.
Outdoors I turn it up to the point where I can pick it up quickly but is not so bright it appears harsh and distracts me from looking at the targets. If its a real bright Texas day, its on full blast. Add a few clouds and its turned down a bit. Adjusted for each stage as needed.

adjust to clarity only. in bright sunlight, it's almost full on, cloud cover, turned down a bit.

The last couple of matches my dot would turn off while shooting a stage.
I sent it in to C-more for a rebuild.
When it gets back I will be back.
By the way no more sand bagger, I made M

C class Rookie.
I had a 6 on one of my guns it was just too hard to see.
an 8 is probably too big for anything over 25 yards but not many 50 yard shots these days.

There is a setting besides off and full on??
Good thread. I'll have to play with this some. I wonder if I crank it back some if I will stop dot fixating so much.
