Hi Neal in AZ do you use yours manually or have one of the Hornady or RCBS dies? I stop at the full down stroke and manually dump the powder. Worls great on 600yd stuff!

I use my Hornady LNL Powder measure on the 650 with the case drop feature, but you will need either to use a seperate expander die or get the powder thru expander die from Hornady. Works good no issues. Most of the time I just use the dillon powder measure on the dillon press as the hornady is in use on the other press.

I don't use the powder thru expander die with 38 Super becuase you mess up a few cases with that die.

I use the hornady powder drop for my rifle , works fine with 223 & 22-250 . you can get the Micro adjustment with the Hor. & the auto powder drop is only $40 + or - Hornady has photos on their wed site.
I am not too goo at posting photos.
For the Dillion the UniTec adjustment tool is good = takes the "play" out of the drop

No I also do it manually like you. It is kind of strange at first but once you get into a rhythm it is easy.

Hornady says that their case activated powder drop only works w/their powder measure... true? Trying to get inventive w/ my Redding BR30

Please explain, I have an RCBS powder measure table mounted. What do I need to make it work
on a 650 ? Whats a case activated set up ? How does the measure reset back after the downstroke ?

RCBS makes a case activated linkage kit for progressive presses, basically a die with the linkage attachments that the powder measure drops into, works good on ALL powders including stick...

it can be had from just about any reloading supply house.
