Hi!

I am looking for a good left handed holster for the M&P Pro.

I like the Blade Tech DOH but the LH holster is only for the standard M&P, not the Pro, and the holster has a closed end.

The only ones I have found online are the Fobus, Uncle Mikes, and Comp-Tac.

I have never been impressed by Fobus, and the Uncle Mikes may work for everyday carry, but doesn't look the best for 3-gun. I have heard good things about Comp-Tac, but that holster looks like it might flop around a little bit.

I am looking to keep it under around $75, so I am not looking for one of the high end race holsters.

Any ideas would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

Buy with confidence from Comp-tac. I am a lefty and I have a belt ride holster from comp-tac for my pro and 9-L. Does not flop around at all, holds the gun very good but not so good that you give yourself a wedgie on the draw.

That s not true. My buddy has a left hand DOH for a 9L. You may have to order from Blade Tech.

All of the holsters from Blade Tech are available in LH, you will probably have to order it direct as mentioned.

Ha! Look what I just found, a BT 5" Pro Holster, I should have looked first. I'll send you a PM.

I'm using a 9L/Pro LH belt holster from Comp-Tac.

Very solid. Couldn't be happier. I'd be running a DOH if it were IDPA legal.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but there are no real differences in the (2) pistols other than slide length and profile (besides internal stuff) correct? If you have a blade-tech M&P holster for the standard, just bust out the dremel and cut the end of the holster off, and then chamfer the edges. The "end" of the barrel/slide will stick out a bit, but not enough to cause a problem. That is what I have done to DOH for my STI's since I have a 5" and 6" standard frame. Now I have a holster that fits both STI's and all my 1911's as well.
Statistics show fat people are harder to kidnap...... I think I am pretty safe.

I am left handed and have a left handed blade-tech DOH holster for my M&P 9pro.
I ordered it special order through brownells. You could also order it directly from blade-tech.

I recommend Comp-tac, just for the great customer service. If you want a one off custom, Kytac will do a good job, I have both, Kytac for USPSA production class and Comp-tac for IDPA. Lefties rule!

Fellas, thanks for all the replies.

I dug around on the 'net and found all that you have suggested. Apparently I was just wasn't looking hard enough!!

Probably down between the Blade Tech and the Comp Tac.

Thanks again!!

I've got 2 Blade-Techs and 1 Comp-Tac, and they're both great! I just got an M&P, and now I'm having real difficulty deciding which one to get for it.

I have Blade Tech and Comptac myself. They're both nice, but I think the Comp-tac just looks 100% nicer. I've had the Blade Tech for quite a few years and it's going strong, though.
