oh just sayin if your shooting through a port or opening make sure theres nothin in the way of your slide or dont let the recoil from your gun bump anything while the slide is moving. I did that and it didnt cycle properly and i lost about 3-4 seconds clearing the malfunction

I am with ya. I had two falilure to feeds due to semi wad cutter bullets. Cost me a B class limited win. Only Truncated cone bullets for matches from now on. When shooting through a port watch out for the fiber optic on the end of the slide....I have not busted mine yet

I actually "nailed' a tall steel front sight post into the wooden top bar of a port once, and it took several hard tugs and twists to pull it out again. It seems funny now.
Back in the 60's they said "Make love, not War". I say get married and do both.

Wow that's a new one. I bet it wasn't funny when it happened.

yep, watched a friend of mine's kid batter the front sight on his browning hi-power into submission in a port one time, i saw him jump everytime the sight hit that port....after he gently coached the kid to stay out ofthe ports....for USPSA shooting, ports are obstacles to negotiate, dont not if at all possible stick anything in em, you just have to pull it back out to move to the next position, and the real possibility that you will lose gun parts bangin into em....
