I am considering getting a Dillon 650 and want to know if my Lee dies (9mm and 40 cal) will work in it?

Speculator- thanks for your input. I have read about problems with the Dillon dies and I have had none (other than operator error) with my Lee dies.

I have dies from Hornady, RCBS, Redding and Dillon. I load for both pistol and rifle with the Dillon and have found that I love Dillon dies. One of the best aspects is the ability to drop out the inserts and clean the dies without removing them from the toolhead. This way you don't have to re=adjust the dies when you put them back.

I've used nothing but Dillon dies and NEVER had an issue of any kind. Some people like the undersize dies, but I run 9mm and never found a need.

I have two Dillon 650s and run Dillons dies in both except when I reload 40s. I use a Lee undersized decap/resizing die for 40s.

the only issue I've had will lee dies on my 650, is I have to use the lock ring on the bottom of the tool head, instead of on top like usual, the dies run out of threads.

oh yea big +1 on dillon dies, never had a problem with them.

I have two 650s, both with casefeed assemblies. I also installed strong mounts and alum roller handles, which were a great improvement. I have loaded thousands of rounds of 9mm with Dillon dies and a Redding Micrometer-Adjustable die.

I use a Dillon sizing die, which the base is machined. It has a much stronger primer decapping pin and is easy to change.

There is a tremendous amount of info on Dillons and reloading in this Forum and BE sells Dillon stuff and gives great service.

The Dillons have a more 'radiused' opening on the sizing die, making it easier for the brass to enter, even if it is not lined up just right.
They work great.

But, yes - you can use any brand of standard thread dies.
