Was browsing through some pictures and came across this series from a match last year of a reload with the single stack.

Though some people might find it helpful.

Is that just a polite way of telling the rest of us that our reloads really suck? Those are some nice photos.

Nice lookin' blaster by the way.

It's a regular Comp-tac belt holster. No modification needed.

Matt, it looks like you have large hands. It also looks like you switch grip to release the mag. I know that I do, with my avg hands. Do you have to switch your grip to release the magazine? If so, anything to say about that?

Thanks,

Ben

Yes, I flip the gun in my hand. I can actuate the button without doing it, but I prefer to flip so that I can have a positive button push no matter what.

The technique works for any gun I pick up. Even on stock guns with a small short button, I don't have to think about hitting it, the mag just drops out when I grab for the reload.

I started doing that too... I had one to many mags hit the ground from the extended mag release. The last time I went to the safe area took it off and tossed it into the weeds.

I would love to see similar pictures from the shooter's left side. I always seems to fumble with the way I grab the mag off the belt and how it goes into the gun. That is my hard spot.

I love mag changes. i love them so much my subconsious mind makes me to extra changes. see http://www.youtube.c...h?v=Nl4PtXTKgLc

If your moving your reloading....I've done that several times. The funniest one I did was Area 6 this year. I had 2 targets stacked on the right and one on the left of the start box. I shot the 2 on the right reloaded transitioning to the left and reloaded again going up lol....

I think you are right. I am so preconditioned to doing a reload every time I move that it is hard to NOT do one when you aren't supposed to.
