There will be a DSM Multi Gun Match at GCL (http://www.gclrochester.com) in Penfield, New York this Saturday at 10:00am.
This will be defensively scored (not International Multi Gun rules) as it will be a DSM (http://www.dsmacademy.com) match. DSM is very close to IDPA rules.

STAGES:
- 4 Pistol
- 1 Rifle
- 1 Shotgun
and I think they throw in a stage where you have to transition from rifle to pistol.

You can use any rifle with iron sights or one optic (no bipods). No round limit on magazines.
Shotguns can have an 8+1 capacity as long as the extended mag tube does not protrude more than 2 3/4" past the end of the barrel. No slugs needed, only #6-#8 birdshot.
Pistols to follow production class rules. No electronic sights. Extended slide locks and safeties OK. IDPA legal holsters only. 10+1rnd pistol mag limit. Bring cover garment.
Results will be posted on the internet.

If this information had been posted for last year's match, I would not have driven two hours one way only to be told by Sam I could not shoot because of the wrong gear!
I asked if I could shoot the match for no score, same answer,NO!
A long two hour drive home, never to return again.

Wow, that sucks.
They should have let you shoot anyways (not for score) if equipment was the only issue.
We need more shooters in the sport not less.
I'll see to it that no one gets turned away this year.

I, for one, can't wait to shoot this match. Not too much 3 Gun action around here so I take what I can get!
