Does the NRA have a prize money payout at the cup that pays x number of places per class, or do they do a prize table only or what. I'd like to got o next years event, never been to the main. Just wondering what chances are of taking home something nice or maybe some green. Thanks,Ed

Ed,
Good Morning,
Good to see you on here and your interest in the NRA Bianchi Cup. This year we awarded over $300,000 in cash & prizes, to include 29 firearms. (6) six of those firearms went to the (6) six Champions, the rest were drawn by name out of a hat, several 1st time shooters won firearms this year. As of right now, we have confirmed (6) six firearms to award next year.
The payout as of right now is:
Top 20 Open get cash
Top 20 Metallic get cash
Top 50 Production get cash
We award a prize bag filled with Industry provided merchandise to each competitor at the Wednesday night social event at the Host Hotel, Holiday Inn Select, Columbia, MO. Some of these bags had over $1,000 in merchandise. the bags are picked and filled at random.
I hope this answers your question, I am sure there are a few others on here, that can add some personal input. We all hope to see you in Columbia next May!

How many competitors generally attend the Bianchi Cup? And how many by division?
Chuck,
This year we had 190, majority were open shooters, the lowest production shooter walked out with $175.00, and depending on when they signed up the entry fee was as low as $200.00.
I also forgot to include the Event Cash Prizes, each of the Divisions top (3) shooters in each Championship Event win cash as well. There is a Multi-Gun Aggregate Cash Award of $1,500, and cash awards for the side events.

Ed, we just today signed an Investment Company from TX to Sponsor the Practical Event at $10,000 in Cash and $5,000 in Prizes. We are going to put a Major Press release out this month about the 2010 NRA Bianchi Cup. It will be the Championship to be at in 2010, especially if you have never been before!

Thanks NRAAction. That is exactly what I was looking for. Can the NRA get the entire industry (magazines, tv, net, etc) to push the cup? Such a shame that a great format is lagging in participation. The Cup ought to be the biggest event of the year, which is what John Bianchi inteded it as right?
