My local dealer ran out of the powder I usually use so I bought some N330 as I need to load for this coming week. I do not have load data on on this powder. I can't find anything worthwhile on the web. Can anyone help? I am looking to load major for an SVI - Thanks Mark

Used to use it when the PF was 175. I was loading 5.5 grains at 1.210 OAL. Bullet was zeros 200 & I was getting 183 PF. so 5.2 may mke it for you. As always proceed with caution.

Thanks. I did get some load data. min 4.3 gr for 759 feet per second and max 5.8 gr at 1000 feet per second which would be factor 200 which is crazy high. I'm looking the data in the middle so that I can get about 167-169 power factor.

4.6 to 5.8 .. thats quite a difference.
Well, I have heard sveral times QL is not that reliable with loads for pistol ammo. (Seems as Brömel has been too careful when he wrote the programm)
(I almost reload rifle ammo, therefor QL is quite usable, but I only use it for getting some ideas about the powder I'm going to use.
rate of burn, muzzle velocity, and so on.)
Nevertheless, I would handle the 5.8 grs very careful, maybe you should make some samples, starting at 4.5 grs, then 4.6 grs and so on...

I was loading long, so you need a little bit more powder.

Thanks for all the help. I landed up loading 5 gr powder 1.160 OAL and when I used a chrono I got between 850 and 900 fps. My loads aren't perfect as I had a couple of burrs on the case plate that caused some power to get thrown so the loads were not consistent. I have now switched to N320 and fixed the case plate so much more consistent loads.
