Just picked up a new XDM9, I want a good fiber optic front (1.5mm would be my preference) and better flat black rear sights. I've seen the Heinie rear but not sure which front sight to get. Any suggestions?

I've had good luck with Dawson Precision's fiber optic front sights. They have several heights and widths available depending on which rear sight you go with.. They also have great rear sights for the XD.

The Heinie and Warren sights use the factory height front, Dawson's use their 0.205 height. Low mount Bo-mar style sight uses a custom height.

i originally got a green hi-viz and kept the factory rears, but after seeing what everyone else is using i think ill have one of those dawson fo front sights with a wider notched rear site.

dawson 0.1..the wider front obscure plates at longer distances

I had a high viz on a limited gun and the dot was bigger than the plate at 40 yards

I ordered the Tru-glo standard Fiberoptic Red Front/Green rear and everyone in my IDPA club that has seen them says they are bright without being too bright. I also like that they are metal and not plastic and the front looks like it is epoxied in. I got mine from Dillon's site for 50.00 and I won't go back to standard three dots. It seems to help a lot on long shots (20 yard+) for some reason too, but that may just be me :)

I use the Dawson fiber front (red) and the Dawson wide notch rear that Dawson recommended for my XDM. Works nice for me.
