I just new a new Benelli M2 from a local guy and it is great. He lightened the bolt, beveled the bottem of the reciever, and the entrance into the magazine, put on a nordic tube, cut the bolt so you can ghost load it and load it out of battery, new charging handle and new bolt release button. New gun with all the work done and the price was 1559.00. I have run about 500 rounds through it and it is flawless. If anyone else is looking for benelli work his name is Randy Hollowbush, The Handgunner Custom Gunshop in Topton PA. I had been looking other places and some prices were pretty high. I thought from reading other forums that the price was pretty good since some guys want 1200.00 just for the gun. You might want to give him a call if anyone needs stuff done. 610-682-6714
If only I could work two days a week and shoot five days a week, life would be a whole lot more fun.

I will try and get some pictures up in the next week or so, been real busy at work and have to borrow a better camera from a friend to get it done.

I know about a ghost load ,but can you load your gun now in the tube if you run dry ? I mean that the carrier dog is not blocking the mag tube ?

no as far as I know that isn't able to be done on a benelli.

Let me get this straight...This is my experience right now with my Benelli:

If I ghost load (I have yet to use this in competition), when I run the gun empty or having the last round in the chamber...I can load the tube, fact! If I still have one shell in the chamber and one in/on the carrier I can't load any more rounds, fact!

If I cut the bolt carrier (not the bolt) I can load the tube without the bolt fully in battery, fact!

I guess I don't understand what the Benelli isn't able to do...

Thank you for listening,

RLTW,

I will try to explain what my M1 cannot do (but my Nova can do)

You shoot a stage and you run empty and then you hear click when you pull the trigger instead of BANG then when i try to load into the tube the shell carrier is blocked so i need to throw a round in the chamber first before i can start loading the mag tube.
I was wondering if you found a solution/modification to that so that when you run empty you can first load and then rack the bolt

On my Nova i can always load in the tube and i know that wth my nova its quicker to load 8 in the tube and then pumpload the chamber then it is to throw 1 in the chamber and load 7

You are correct, I knew what you were saying. Once it goes click you have to cycle the action to be able to load the tube.

No last round bolt hold open feature on Benelli?
Team FIREBIRD

I don't always shoot a rifle, but when I do... I prefer a Firebird. Stay accurate my friends.

My same point...my bolt is held open and I can't make the hammer fall until the bolt goes forward again...still confused...

If you hear click when your gun runs dry you gun isn't working properly. The gun should hold the bolt back when you're empty. If your gun doesn't cycle fully and you don't get a round in the chamber then pull the trigger you will indeed hear a click.

How's the leg Scott?
