I was inventorying my collection Front Sight Magazines, and thought this would make a nice Nationals Week diverson for those of us stuck at home.

The cover of the July/August 1988 issue of Front Sight had photos of each of members of the 1988 US Nationals Teams. A scan of the cover is shown below, and a larger version can be seen at: Large Scan of Cover.

So, from right to left, who is shown in each row?

The guys are easy.

The girls are tougher (for me) Debbie James and Christie Rogers are the only two I can say I recognize. I'm a little surprised Judy Wooley wasn't one of them, I don't think that's her on the right but could very easily be mistaken.

Crap!!!!!!! I have to ask Bill, does knowing who those guys are make me an old guy????

I've never looked to define being old, but I guess if the shoe fits . . .

I guess I'd rather say I started young :D :D

The lady on the right is definately Tammy Madigan. She and her husband at the time, John were the owners & operators of the 1988 & 1989 Steel Challenge. Judy Wooley first came onto the scene in the 1990 Steel Challenge. I can remember her demolishing the ladies (& lots of men, including me) that year. There was a picture in the American Handgunner of her walking out of the prize distribution with at least a half dozen guns. :surprise:

You know, those photos are 21 years old, and those I've seen more recent photos of seem to be holding up reasonably well.

How about a "Where Are They Now" for these 10 shooters?

Debbie James quit shooting prior to the birth of her son, about 15+ years ago. Tom Campbell no longer shoots either, and is employed by Safariland. Mike Plaxco is employed by S&W, or was.
