Just another town. Dress for the locations you will be visiting.

if your going to a club and want good service, dress up a bit, tee shirts and sandals and you won't get in the door.

That's one quirky thing about Vegas -- you see it all. It completely depends on where you are (assuming the strip). At the Bellagio, for example, folks are typically dressed pretty well when at shows and at the casino. At the MGM, on the other hand, you see a wide range.
But, Chef's advice is spot on.

Brown sandals, tall black socks, light blue shorts, thin black belt, white t-shirt with bad Hawaiian shirt... I love Las Vegas baseball hat, that does not match the rest. Camera around your neck, fanny pack in your hip (good for concealed carry), etc...

You'll fit right in.

It's all about comfort.

Dear ATF,
Since guns are so dangerous, I threw all of mine in the Gulf of Mexico yesterday. If you're here to collect mine, I don't have any. Thanks for stopping by.

Once went to The Steak House @ The Belagio Hotel. One guy with us had on a sharp looking suit but was wearing Chuck Taylors. They would not let him in.

Some places have a dress code, others not. If you plan on going out pack accordingling.

Last time I was there, they let me in Wendy's and I was not wearing anything special. :)
"If you were one of America's Founders, and you'd just surprised the world... by winning a war of secession against the most powerful and heavy-handed government on the planet, and the last thing in the world you wanted for yourself, for your children, or for your grandchildren was to fall beneath the heels of its jackboots again, what would you want the Bill of Rights to mean? And if the first act, under martial law, of that powerful, heavy-handed government had been to try to take your guns away at Lexington and Concord, would you have written a Second Amendment to guarantee its 'right' to own and carry weapons? Would you have written a Second Amendment that was subject to whatever government claims is 'reasonable regulation'? Or would you have written the Second Amendment to forbid government from having anything to do with your guns?"

If you are going high end, maybe you'd want to bring something a little dressy or just business casual. Tennis shoes and jeans and a shirt with buttons (polo type or button all the way down) should take care of 90% of the places. I've gone to Ruth's Chris, Del Frisco, and Morton's (all decent steak places) wearing tennis shoes, jeans, polo shirt. Some of my friends wore shorts.

Thanks guys, that narrowed it down a little. Think I'll leave the stilettos and thong to Cliff, but its nice to know my normal duds will do.
