I shot the 2011 USPSA Indiana Sectional "He rode a blazing saddle" Match last weekend. 11 stages of fun in the Sun with stage names such as "Excuse me while I whip this out", "Candygram for Mongo", and "Killed more people that Cecille B.Demil". I had a decent day and took home 1st place "C" class in Limited 10. I was merely just another competitor who was crushed by the whirling dervish with a gun that was Shaun Hopkins. Congratulations Shaun on HOA Lim 10. Those are some moves you got there

Thanks Tom. Good job to you too. I might add that you shot L10 with an 8 round skinny gun!
There were quite a few stages that were more 10rd friendly.

Wish we could have shot together on the same squad. At least we will at TN.

I got a chance to shoot on the same squad as Tom and really enjoyed it. He's a great personality for the FG team and after drooling over his pistol for a day it's just a matter of time before I put an order in.

SS HOA in TN. Very good stages, a lot of stage breakdown skills needed for the TN match. The KY crew does a good job of looking after each other. A few of the stages took more than one opinion to come up with something feasible.

IDPA in Wilmore, Ky. last Saturday. 7 stages and nice weather. I was 1st place in CDP and 8th overall against 43 competitors. I'll be shooting USPSA in Batavia, OH. this weekend sans the vest (yeah!).

1st B Class Limited. 10th Overall. 75.x%

That'll bump me to A class this coming up date, I'm pretty sure.

It always takes me about ten minutes and fifty edits to figure out how to embed it. And every time it's as simple as just posting the link.

One of these days I'm gonna get some better video editing software so I can do the whizz-bang intros like everyone else has.

The GunWarehouse and Range indoor match:

Strong hand only is getting better. Reloads were pretty good, think I bobbled the one on the classifier just a little. Felt like it cost me .5 sec. 57pts in 6.1 for Nuevo El Pres (partial targets). 11A, 1D. Booooo on the Delta....

The speed stage (stage 3) I shot clean, all Alpha's. That one was fun, but I still don't like metric targets.

Long Island Championship this past weekend. 9 great stages, all ranging between 29 and 32 round count. The deep sand makes movement interesting... like a day at the beach, with an Open gun : )

I shot a pretty clean match - no penalties except for one mike (that I really wish I could have back!). I haven't had a jam all season (since the Spring Blast match, which was also at this range), but I had two during this match. Gotta love shooting in the sand!
I finished 2nd overall, just a couple ticks off the winner.

Shot Open at the Nats this year. After last year's penaltyfest I decided to shoot more conservatively. Unfortunately I swung the pendulum too far and was, what's the word... oh yeah, slow. Had a great time at the match. Anyone who gets the chance should do it. Where else can you shoot at steel smaller than a headbox at 18 yards while on a swinging bridge?

Local Match. Tried the CMC flat trigger in my rifle. So far I like it. I had a complete JP trigger in it before but wanted to try the flat. Rifle is stage 2.

Still chasing GM in SS. I should be within 5% next update. Getting closer....
Had one incomplete mag insertion that cost me 20pts in the unofficial overalls.

USPSA last Sunday in Wilmore, Ky. Weather was perfect! I finished 3rd in Single Stack behind a Master and Grandmaster. Still managed a top 10 finish out of 47 shooters in the unofficial overall combined scores. Had 2 mike's and a mental malfunction. Things to work on besides the usual keeping the gun up. Wich is better but still not where it needs to be. Planning on Shooting Silver Ck in Sellersburg, Indiana this weekend.

I've been trying to work on movement into and out of positions. This was our local indoor match. Very fun stages.

I needed 3.6 seconds clean on the classifier. Ripped it pretty good but let a round drop a few inches into the hard cover on the third target. You can see the time on the clock in the vid.

Try again next time.
