Total newb with rifles and scopes. So be gentle or I will curse you with a flea infestation, and these are special fleas. :surprise:

OK. I just slapped a Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40mm Target Rifle Scope (Target Turrets) on my AR.

Did what "I" consider a bore sighting here at home.

Headed to the range for some sighting in. Here is where I get a bit fuzzy. Bushnell's instructions...ahh...suck. Especially since they don't include any

for the target turrets. My goal was to zero 1" high on the bullseye at 100 yds. Why? Beats me. That's where "I" wanted it. Got there

eventually by tweaking the turrets a bit up and down, left and right. When I starting grouping consistently I loosened the chrome ends (see pic) on the

turrets and lined up the "zeros" on the turret and the scope body without changing the adjustment. Is that hammered dog sh!t or did I zero the thing?

Remember, special fleas.

You "zeroed" your knobs for the setting you were shooting at. Now why you would zero your rifle 1" high is a mystery to me but I'm skeered of flees so I will be quiet.

Sounds good to me. Watch those screws, they can work loose and then you will be wondering why the gun is not hitting where it should be.

Thanks.
Mystery to me too. But it was easier to see the bullets holes in the white part of the target. :) Our club spotting scopes are nearly worthless. But I know now I can zero the thing. Cool.
