M1 Super 90 Mag ext. length?

I have decided to make the switch to a Benelli, (like I did with my HM shotgun) for Tac/scope. A friend found one (M1 Super90) with a 18.5/19" barrel for a good price. It has a +1 tube now, but I want a +3 so I can get 9 total with ghostloading, and still not stick way out past the muzzle. Can anyone tell me approx. how far the +3 Nordic tube will stick out past the muzzle if I decide to go with this one?
Thanks for any help.

I can get 10 with a ghost load and my tube sticks out about 1 1/2-2 inches past the muzzle of my 18 1/2" barrel. I'd go with the extra round. Ghost loading is a cool trick but it's easier to just use the magazine.

Word of advise here!!!....
The Benelli factory tube only holds 3 (+1 in the chamber).....if you are going to buy a Nordic Extension for you gun, you will need to buy a +5 to get 9 (8+1) rounds total. You have to take the factory extension tube off to utilize any extension out there on the market. AND....fyi....the +5 will stick past the end of your 18.5" barrel by 2.5" which is no problem at all. No shot will hit the extension.
Trust me.....I know what I'm doing. (famous last words)

Since he makes without any doubt the best shotgun accessories on the market, he darn tooting kinows what he he is talking about.
BTW if you install a choke tube that extends past the end of the barrel, that might help balance the look but as Tim states, all you are going to get on the extension is some powder residue.

This table is a good help in determining what tube will work for your barrel length:
# of
Extra Shells Tube Length Overall Length Recommended
Installed Barrel Length
+3 8.622 17.747 18.5
+4 10.393 19.518 18.5 / 21
+5 11.929 21.054 18.5 / 21
+6 14.370 23.495 21 / 24
+7 17.598 26.723 24 / 28
+8 20.196 29.321 28.
The table is reasonably accurate for most M1's and M2's. Some variants might be a bit off, but its up to you to use the tube length number and add to your shotguns configuration. Other than that, the important column here is the overall length installed column. If you got an 18.5 inch barrel, don't buy a +8, your overal length installed is going to be 29.3 inches. Use this column and figure out what works for you before you get an extension.
We get too many people who buy a +5 extension or greater and then complain that it is too long for their 18.5 inch barrel. A little homework beforehand will save you quite a bit of aggravation.
If the formating gets lost on the table, we also have it here: NC extension lengths.

Looks like you have the +3 extension and 1 in the chamber and 1 ghost loaded plus your fixed tube capacity to get those numbers.
As I feared, the formating I put into the table was lost by the board software, refer to the web page link above for it or this captured image might work also:
