Need some help
I just changed my STI Tactical extractor out for an Aftec Advanced Competition Extractor.
I just put it together tonight and checked the space etc... all seems to be good
I loaded a few rounds in a mag and tried to cycle them through just extracting one after another not firing the gun.
At first it seemed the extractor was too tight so I pulled it out and crimped the springs a little with a pair of pliers like the instructions said
It cycles much better but now I am getting a failure to seat.. the round goes half way and jams....not every time but 1 per mag... some times not at all
Is this a mag problem or do I need to do some filing on the extractor??
suggestions...

Filing on the extractor will void it's warranty !! Give Derek at Mellenium Custom
a call and he'll walk you through it !!
He's mcg2 on the forum ..

I had the exact same issue a few weeks ago with a new AFTEC after it was installed by a gunsmith. I would have 5-6 FTFs on a 24 round stage.
After reading about AFTEC issues on here and talking to Derek, I stoned the AFTEC springs a little bit. I had already tried sqeezing the springs with pliers. Now it runs like a champ.

Also, make sure that the interface between the firing pin stop and the extractor isn't too tight. There should be a little extra room for the extractor to move just a titch. It's explained in the included instructions.

Yeah I talekd to someone else today that said the same thing.. I took a little off the firing pin stop and it seems to be functioning correctly now..
Thanks
