I have used and purchased Zero HP 180 bullets before, and indeed still have a few left in my "stash", but I wanted to get a new supply to try with new powders I have been experimenting with, namely Silhouette and Longshot, as well as developing some loads for Production with any of the powders I have on hand to see if I might like that division while shooting "minor .40's". Lo and behold, they have a message up that they will no longer sell to "the little people" like me! I'm bereft! Where then, can I acquire more Zeros for my shooting pleasure, or is this a thing of the past and I should move on to Montana Gold or some other maker. :angry2:

I just received a letter from Berry's MFG indicating there is a $250 minimum order for dealers now.

Sounds like a pattern may be developing.

They simply cannot keep up. I have had a million bullets on order for months on end, and I am getting partial shipments and not the most popular SKUs at times. Please keep in mind that Zero has always supported the sport, and better to stop selling for a while than take your order and sit on it forever. With us, and other distributors, there is no way they can catch up right now. We are striving to keep bullets in stock, and we have them coming in way faster than you could ever buy them direct. We are taking backorders and filling them in the order received. Please keep in mind that their decision had no malice or in any way meant to make you feel this way. Without shooters, well I think you get it. The economy of supply is different now, and the bullet companies aren't big guys like the ammo manufacturers, so they are overwhelmed. They are nice people, and they will catch up I am sure.

Yep. No problem with Roze Distribution at all. Their disclaimer says that they're running 4-6 weeks behind, but I'm been ordering only 1000 at a time to be kind to the mailman/UPS guy, and my last order a couple of days ago shipped in just a couple of weeks. You can't beat their price delivered for jacketed bullets.

I just bought 1000 .40s from Rozedist.com with no problem but I had to buy 165s as they had no 180s....

I am always surprised to find out how many folks who shoot USPSA buy in small amounts like this. I never order less than 5 cases at a time from Montana Gold. If you can't scrape that much cash together, get some friends to all kick in for a bulk buy. You will have the piece of mind of having a large stash for times just like this and you will be treated much better by the vendor you choose. Over the years I have built up a great relationship with those I buy components from.

There really isn't that much of price difference between buying 1K v. 25K from Roze. It's about $6/K including shipping.

I've got 6000 bullets sitting on the shelf. After I load another 1000, I'll order 1000 more.

It's personal choice not $$$. I don't want to break my delivery man's back. He's been good to me.

When I get down to 5000 primers, I'll order another 15-20,000. I keep about 8000 once-fired brass on hand too and buy that 2000 at a time.

Ah... Thanks guys! I added the Rozedist.com and Shooters Connection web sites to my "Reloading Supplies" links. Good to know I can still get these bullets... eventually! They are, as one member stated, in a backorder situation, but, as the old saying goes... "All good things come to those who wait!".

Well, I DO have several thousand each of several varieties of bullets on hand. The Zero's I use for "special purpose" ammo of one kind or another or when testing new powders for comparison with the previous Zero loads. Mostly, I have been shooting lead from S&S lately and have been very happy with those from both a price and accuracy standpoint. Now if my primers would come in from my backorder things would be looking up!
