I need a sturdy front sight for my upper that will be arriving next week. I really like the JP Enterprises AR Adjustable Gas System/Front Sight (JPGS-2FS) because you can clamp it on close to the comp for the extended sight radius.

Does anyone know who has them in stock?

Midway is out of stock right now, but they show it's expected before 8/17/09.

If you only need the sight base & are not using it for a gas block, the jpsb-1 is available & in stock. That is what I have on my firebird limited gun. I had to have a friend turn it out to .750 but that wasn't too much trouble or $$. It is very solid! It sits very well right behind the comp on my 20" barrel.

It is going on a Firebird upper as well. Cheers to that! Jim was going to put a dummy gas block/rail up front to set a sight on but I really want a one peice setup so that it is more rigid.

Are there any other options out there?

The only other one I'm aware of is sold by Armalite. But, last I heard they had a 80 week or so back-order on it. You could call to check though.

Unless you're really itching to get shooting it, I'd suggest you place an order w/ Midway and let them back-order it. I bet you'll have it within a couple weeks that way.

Thanks, I will check with Armalite. I did order one from Midway upon seeing your post this morning. I contacted JP and they said it was a long wait to get one from them. Hopefully they are getting stuff to their distributors faster!

Armalite's told me that they only have sights to mount on top of the Gas block or a straight up pinned on A2 style. I guess I'm waiting on JP?
