Merlin and Chuck Hill went to a 3 gun match today at Brownsville Texas. Start up match for a new club. Merlin said it was a little diffrent, kind of a cross of USPSA, IDPA, 3 gun rules and steel challange. I guess he figgered it out, he won the match. Awards were a little diffrent too, Merlin won a pig. Some how that seems about rignt.-----------Larry

I'd put a saddle and scabbard on the piggy and make it my new range cart!

Did Merlin know that there was a pig in the prize pen? Could he have picked something different, like a chicken or duck?

I guess I forgot to mention that Merlins pig is still running around in the So. Tx brush. Merlin still has to go find him and catch or shoot him. Fact still remains that Merlin won a pig.-----------Larry

 Can you imagine a pig with saddle bags on hauling gear around. I'll bet people would pay to see that.

Can it cruise the classifieds like a hungry shark and get funds in the mail for all the deals it snatches up?

Considering the amount of fancy equipment now seen in competition, some readers have complained loudly that the 'average guy' does not have a chance. It might be pointed out that this average guy never has had a chance. Competition is held to determine what is best, not what is average. And if all the equipment were standardized, the man who won would still not be in any sense average.

Just about any old body may win an AR or a nice training package from the prize table...

I'll just guess I am the only guy EVER won a real live Texas brush porker in a 3 Gun shoot!

I just spoke to Trapr and he says release it, he will trap and shoot it, butcher it, make chops, ham and bacon, eat it....... and then send you the bill !! :roflol:

I think there is some scope here to make him the Team Triangle Shooting Sports 'Spider Pig' mascot - you could brand him with the TSS triangle and feed other competitors to him.

The pig was a slow one, the ducks and the chickens were real fast!
