Unfortunately, we got burned on a customer by shipping out product before receiving payment. This has forced the CFO to lay down the law. It was not on work performed, but I actually sent out some products to a customer and never got paid. From here on out, we'll still offer our 100% satisfaction guarantee, but payment must be received before anything ships. It makes it easier to keep up with who has and has not paid as well, which allows us to continue adding inventory to our store. We apologize for any inconvenience. We accept credit cards, debt cards, check or money order.
Thanks for your business!

Sorry to hear about this misfortune. I learned along time ago that in my business I want my money when the customer gets the product. Say you are making a 20% markup on an item. $100 item you are making $20. The customer does not pay. You have to sell 4 more of that item just to break even. You cannot make money that way. Back in the day we would send items to customers through the mail, and let them send a check. It only takes getting burned once to make you rethink that system.

Anyone not willing to pay you up front for your product is not really a customer you want anyway.

Good luck
Randy

Thanks Randy. And in this case, I sent out product to someone and didn't really have a lot of mark up in it, trying to help the guy out and build some customer base. So not only did I almost wholesale him the product, but got stiffed trying to be Mr. Nice Guy. $300 is $300 ya know.

Same here, when I receive the payment, I ship the knife.

Stay Safe,

P.S. If this is a regular customer, I ship when he/she tells me the check is in the mail. So far, so good.

Ya know guys, I really liked the fact that folks could get their mags back and inspect them before sending any payment. It IS unfortunate for this to happen.

And along those lines, I would think anyone who does any business of any kind with you would simply pay what was owed upon receipt of the bill and / or the product .... knowing Bobby would make it right whether or not something was amiss.

Sorry to hear about that Bobby. Shooters as a whole are some of the best people I have ever known. Still there are all types. As it appears that this this poor soul is in need of free items please feel free to post an address so that he might receive all sorts of interesting things in the mail that he won't have to worry about paying for.

I still think you should OUT him here. That way if anyone else has dealings with him, we can beware. We would not hesitate if we got burned by a company.

There is no threat of me outing the customer. First of all, I don't do business that way. I am handling this by changing my payment practices. I got burned because I let myself get burned. I asked the guy to just drop me a check in the mail when he got his brass and bullets. I put an invoice in the package with all the pertinent information. I'm hoping one of these days a check will show up.

Sorry to hear that, Bobby, but I'm glad to hear it wasn't any of our forum members who scammed you.
I've had so much success with dealings here that I think I'd be more disappointed than angry if one of "the family" did something like that.

Sorry this happened. But shooters or not eventually you will come across somebody who will take their time paying or even flat out screw you if they get the chance. Since someone else mentioned outing a person for doing this I applaud you for not doing so. But on the other hand I would have no problem agreeing to being outed for non payment with a dealer on this forum. That would pretty much guarantee prompt payments. ;)

Edited to add. This is too funny. After I posted I found the mail pile. I ordered a bracelet for my daughter from the nemo gang. My daughter also ordered one by accident while trying to get me the address a few days later. Today we get the bracelets and one is paid the other is not. Now I feel like I need to be "outed". Time to send a note and a check to the Nemo world headquarters. (Very nice bracelets by the way)
