Well I have been shooting USPSA for about 6 months now in single stack. I have shoot fun matches 3-4 months prior to this. I just recently picked up an SVI for limited. The gun shoots great I just can't get comfortable with it.

My SS gun as about a 4 pound trigger and the SVI has about 1 /34 pound trigger. I shoot it well I just can't seem to get in my mind a possilble ad while running a stage. I have always been mindful of my finger and have even had people tell me that i have great handling skills for as little time as I have been shooting USPSA. I have never had an ad while moving, reloading. I just can't get it out of my head and know that I will not be able to run a stage effectivly with this in my mind.

Are there any drills, anything I can do to build my cofidence in this area. I know the gun shoots better than I do I just need to get more comfortable handling it.

I know this a beginer question and appreciate all the help.

Add weight to the trigger, and take a class with a good USPSA instructor. Do the class now, and save yourself double the cost in ammo learning. Been there, done that, didn't buy a t-shirt after though.

A buddy of mine had the same problem you have. He solved it by having his gunsmith increase the trigger pull on his STI so he would be comfortable with it. You could have your gunsmith match the triggr pull on your SS. Hope this helps.

I am planning to take a class in August in charlotte with Double impact. Is the trigger adjustable in the SVI or will it take a spring change.

Dry fire.. Dry fire.. Dry fire and Practice practice practice... had the same issue when I got my STI. I actually AD'd during practice while prepping for a shot during a transition (bullet went between targets) because I wasn't used to the weight. Keep it simple at first. Draw and 1 shot. Then El Pres. or Vice Pres. Start on those out of the holster then work your way into adding the draw.
