I'm gonna put in an order with Montana Gold soon, and I'd like to work up a load with some Viht N310 that I got off of a shooting buddy. I'd like to work up a "match" load for the Nationals, do you guys think N310 would work better with the heavier bullet going slower, or the lighter bullet going faster?

4.5-4.7gr. of n310 behind a 200gr. LSWC used to be the load everybody where using here in Norway before the 40sw took over the IPSC standard division. Consistent and very accurate load. If I where shooting .45 acp this would be my load of choose. back then PF min. major was 175

I have used VV310 in my 45s for a long time. Jacketed or plated bullets - 4.2gr with 230 gr bullets.
Lead bullets - 3.8gr with 230 gr bullets. Always made major but make sure they do out of your gun.

My current load is as follows: Oregon Trail Laser 200gr. LSWC over 4.4 gr. of N310 in Fed. brass using Win. LP primers. OL is 1.254. Just clocked these right before Single Stack at 852 fps at 900' elevation. 170.4 Power Factor. This load is extremely accurate and my Baer eats 'em like candy.
