I just got it setup last night, adjusted and started loading a few rounds. I am used to loading on a RCBS progressive with the old "wire" ejector like the old Hornady ejector. It can be a pain but once you have the angle right it works like a champ. Once I got set up and going, I find that if I rasie the handle too fast when a case is in the last station, rather than kicking it into the tray, it slides out of the shellplate and falls over on the case feeder arm. I do NOT have the case feed assy. If I lower the handle slowly, it ejects and falls into the tray but it really slows the rythym of loading down to have to do it this way. Is something that I can adjust or try to get better ejection. At this point I actually prefer the old wire to the ezject system!

Right now it's set up for 38 super, using #8 shellplate and Starline 38 comp brass.

This may sound like a dumb reply, but are you sure your shell plate is down and tight? I had that problem one time with my new LNL, only to find out that I had forgotten to tighten the shell plate down after cleaning under it.

shellplate is tight. That was the first thing I checked. Everything is adjusted and working as designed. I guess I'll just have to slow my cranking time down a little.

As a note, I just got the Case feeder a couple of months ago, and 38 Super and 9 mm run thru flawlessly. You start to get issues running 40 and 45 cases. 40 seems to have the most issues.

I still have the wire, and yes you can adjust the wire to one caliber but I run a lot of everything and just let them shoot across the shop, move the car and pick them up when I get done loading.

I acutally timed loading 500 38 super comps with the case feeder, with only one primer tube, it took me 52 minutes.
