Is H & K Expert .45 IDPA legal?

Looking to start shooting IDPA.would like to use my H&K Expert .45,its what I carry & shoot.

Is it legal,what class.?

If it fits in The Box, it should be legal for either ESP or CDP DIVISION.

If it fits in The Box, it should be legal for either ESP or CDP DIVISION.


Should work for SSP also. That's a big gun though. I'm not sure it'll fit the box. The box is 8.75 inches, HK says the expert is 8.7 inches long. If it fits you're good to go.

Thanks guys. Looks like its too wide to fit in box,right side safety would have to be removed.
Too many potential drawbacks... I'll look for something else to compete with.

If you have an "iffy" gun, it might be worth buying your own IDPA box so you can do your own "does it fit".
You have to phone IDPA to order one. IIRC, it costs something like $15 or $20 plus $5 shipping. Or you can make your own based on the dimensions in the rule book.
