According to the scuttlebutt on ar-15.com These Model 1 sales barrels, are not chrome lined, and some have had issues with them with the mildly corrosive ammo. Of which most 5.45 x 39 ammo is. Just what i heard. BTW, your mailbox is full Howard. was wondering where i am on your list. Thanks Dave

I had a real roller coaster ride with Model 1 Sales a couple years ago, they took care of me but I'd rather try another outfit if they are out there and I DEFINITELY want a chrome lined barrel in a 5.45...
Dave, mags are going out as fast as I can get them out, please continue to be patient.

OT... When can I get in line for this fall Howard? I've still got that "project" sitting patiently waiting, hahaha! Take care and I hope things at work are returning more to normal.
back On Topic... I don't know squat about barrels but maybe you could get it chrome lined?

Model 1 Sales =
in my past expierence.
I went with a S&W upper and accessorized to suit my needs. Yes, it is a 16" carbine and I'd rather a 18" rifle length, but beggars can't be choosers. Running Bulgarian surplus through it, accuracy is maybe 2MOA.
Side note: so far absolutely no luck with any other hammer spring other than the orange tinted one that S&W provides. USGI is a no-go, and the JP was a definate bust with not even hardly a mark on those diamond-like primers.

http://www.ar15barrels.com/ These guys probably do. They seem to chamber AR barrels in everything. Lots of abnormal AR calibers.
