Will there be "rain dates" set if it rains at the Bianchi Cup event?

The match is delayed in 1/2 hour increments if rain starts after shooting begins. In the 11 years since I started going, it's never rained enough to stop a whole day of shooting. The longest delay was in '98 for an hour when a passing storm drenched the place and prone shooting was sorta sloppy for a while, but the match continued.

Thanks for the info. Indiana has had a record breaking April for rain and it hasn't stopped yet.

Rain delay? Never.

We shot in this last year at a local shoot.

No not in Taupo, it was Whangarei last year. The plates range was to the right of the Barricade and you could not go prone until 25y unless you were prepared to shoot in 6" of water. It was pretty messy by the end of the day. It got deeper and the wind picked up a little. Some targets were lost and never found as they made it out over the back wall of the range. Which I add is some 35M high.

That was the "winterless north" :roflol: It does not rain in Taupo because it is too high. IT SNOWS! :goof:

OK. I give up. How do you wear rain pants and still have access to your holster and mag pouches?

Most rain pants have access for the pocket of what ever you have on underneath. Just poke the holster through the slit and holster up.

Easy really, when you have the amount of practice we have.

Luckily in AP we have no need to reload on the timer. So we usually drop them back into a bag. But that was deeper than my bag was tall, so we just stuffed them in the pocket on the otehr side or sat the bag on a drum.

We shot on the same range just two weeks ago, it did not rain at the match, but the week before was a mess, but the new drains, a whole heap of gravel and some very hard work by the members saw no problems at all. They have raised the barricade range up to the level of the barriades stands (8") 100+ cubic yards of gravel. :surprise: The targets are next as they remained where they were.
