I am considering taking my FN SLP MK1 to a combat shotgun class.

A sling is required as well as a weapon mounted light.

Can anyone recommend either a single point or conventional sling with mounting hardware?

Same inquiry for a fore end mounted light?

If this is not in the correct section, please advise.

I've got a VTAC sling with Uncle Mike's quick detach swivels on mine. I am using this because a sling is required for the BRM3Gun match.

Sorry but I can't help with the light. I'll keep an eye on this thread because I will eventually use my FN as a home defense weapon and I will want to mount a light as well.

I would really like to take a combat shotgun class with my FN as well.

As far as the light goes I went with one of these from FN:

I have zero complaints so far. Very sturdy and holds my light securely.

I also use a Viking Tactics two point sling. I purchased the butt stock adapter and use an Uncle Mikes swivel connector on the front.

Thanks for the info.

Can anyone steer me to an FN dealer who stocks the light/accessory rail which mounts to the mag extension?
No FN dealers in my area, that seem interested in ordering one for me.
Thanks

I have been bugging FN about the tri-rail extension for over a year. I finally gave up in about January. NovaShooter, where/how did you score one? (Hmm... isn't FNH USA in NoVa?)

In the mean time, I mounted this to my barrel and put a TLR-1 on there. I haven't put it through anything more than long trips to the range, but it got through several of those with no problems.

NovaShooter.
Contact me with info on how to actually get one of these tri-rails from FN.
They won't sell to an individual and when the authorized dealer contacted them they told him it was not yet in production???

Anything new on the FN SLP Tri-Rail? Is it available? Where and how much?
Thx.

No luck with FN.
I decided to go with the Laserlyte Tri-Rail Mounting System which I purchased through Brownell's.
It mounts directly onto the 12 ga. mag tube and provides 3 Picatinny rail mounting surfaces.

The laserlyte fits a 1" tube which is smaller than the tube on the MK1, how did you get it to work?

Does anyone know of a mount that will work on the FN's tube?

Very few things will work well on the mag tube. The SLP's use a mag tube cover with a large diameter and which is easily crushed; it's made out of relatively thin aluminum. It can be done, but I wouldn't recommend it and neither does FN (I spoke with them about it).

I linked to a CAA piece that I put on my barrel, and that works fine for me. Mounting the flashlight on the side of the barrel isn't ideal for me, but it works.

FN has posted that rail adapter on their website for years now. I have no idea why they haven't gotten around to making it.

After many calls to FN, they finally told me http://Bartssports.com/ would stock them. Several months later, I finally got a tri-rail for about $125. Took awhile but worth it. Very sturdy for laser and light for home defense. Good luck!

Has taken a while, but mine is on it's way. They put me on a list and then sent an email when mine was in stock. Very nice people - this was my first purchase from them.
