If you prefer Kydex I'd go with a Bladetech holster, check their website

If you prefer leather, C. Rusty Sherrick makes a nice one, check his website

I'm using a John Bianchi Frontier Gunleather western rig for mine. This puts the gun on the hip instaed of the waist. I think it makes for a better draw.

Kevin,

That sounds like a fine idea for production.

I would also look at either the Helweg 1R or 85R, the 85R might sit the gun a little high for a quick draw.

I have either th 220A or the 85A for my 1911.
So many guns, so little time.
