Is there another number to call Rudy? There isn't an option for a customer to talk to a human on the given number. Only if you are a dealer. If I choose #3 it goes right back to the automated message
I've got a smudge or something on my photox clear lenses and can't get it off. Only had them a month and it's not a scratch. Looks like a fingerprint but it won't come off.

I purchased one of Rudy's "Shooting Packs" with multiple colored lenses and had my prescription set into the insert. My thoughts on the whole setup...

1) WOW!
2) It took a little playing with the nose piece to get the lenses away from my eyes (and eyelashes) and to the right spot. But once they were right.. WOW!
3) I really like the ability to change lens colors. I find the red to be the best all-around, but the yellow and gray come in handy at times.
4) A very solid, yet easily removable Frame to RX lock.

So I would recommend Rudy to anyone. Yes, they can be pricey. But this is a case where you get what you pay for.

On a side note... my Dr. is an Oakley dealer so we were putting together a set of the new Oakley shooting glasses with the lens ground into the primary lens. All was good until the Dr. read Oakley my prescription and Oakley said "Nope, not possible". But with the Rudy RX Insert I have found no issues. These replaced a set of Gargoyles with their old RX Insert which was flimsy to say the least.

Rudy ... WOW, the rest not so much!

Fantastic! I think the insert is the way to go for shooting. It saves your RX from getting scratched and allows quick change of various lenses. Thanks for your information and I forwarded it to Rudy.

I tried contacts last year and that didn't last through the winter, so this year I may have to get a Rx insert for my Genetyk's. I think most people have commented that they either got the insert and lens from an optometrist that was Rudy dealer or got the inserts and took them to their optometrist. Well, I like my eye doctor but the glasses they sell are way overpriced.

Has anyone had any experience with getting lenses made mail order? If so, any suggestions of a company to deal with?

I just watched Don Hardy of the shooting Team go into Wal Mart and get an insert made while he waited. The quality was great and the price was good. NOTE: You cannot get our discount on RX by going to a dealer. Only the online Rudy site gives our discount.

So, just order the inserts from Rudy and take them to Wal Mart? Or can Rx inserts and lenses be ordered online?

I ordered mine directly through Rudy. Already had the Genetyk shooters kit, spoke with Jaime by phone and sent her my script. RX insert arrived in less than 2 weeks.

Be aware the insert for the Genetyks have a wider black rubberized frame vs the thin wire frame on other models.
I was expecting the thin one.

I can't seem to get the Rx order to indicate a discount code offering on the inserts. Are Rx inserts not part of the 2Alpha discount offering. Very difficult ordering system when add ons are required thru the website.

I think I asked this before (maybe not) but my search-foo must be lacking....

Now that we are scoring with electronic Nooks, I need bifocals to shoot and Range Officer. What are my optioins? Am I limited to an insert?

Thanks,
BC

Ken,

I guess I didn't make myself clear. The link you provided goes to "readers" only and that will not meet my needs.

I'd like to have a set of Rudy sunglasses built without an insert but I need the bottom part to be "readers" with a +2.0. I want to keep the same glasses on when I shoot and when I'm working as a Range Officer and entering data into the Nook scoring device.
I want a prescription built into the top part to shoot as I cannot see distances clearly. My most recent visit to the optometrist was just on March 19th. They have provided the RX.

Where do I go to order true bi-focals that I can enter the RX data along with the "reader" data?

Thanks,
BC

Those are bi-focals BC. The top part is a normal lens and the bottom part are magnified readers.
