This is a gun with a muzzle brake and synthetic stock. Out of a 3 shot group, it consistantly throws a flyer. We tried different ammo, different shooters, and we are sure that the scope and receiver hardware is tight. We are looking at glass bedding. Do you think that will solve the problem? If not, do you have any other suggestions?

I'd recommend a 5 shot group. Use high quality ammo, good handloads are best. I'd take the brake off and look at the crown, try a group with the brake off. Bed the action. Try a known high quality scope.

I have a Mod 7 in .260 that was doing the same thing. I put an HS Precision stock on and bedded it and it holds .58" 5 shot groups at 100 with my loaded ammo now. Before it held 1" 5 shot groups with a flyer on occasion about 3" out. I haven't seena flyer yet. Also lapped and trued the bolt at the time we did the stock.
Speed is Fine,Accuracy is final....but accurate hits at extremely high speed is final much faster.
Amateurs do it til they get it right. Professionals do it til they can't get it wrong.
