Hi all,
I have a couple of good old wilson combat mags lying around in the safe.
Their springs are weak and i wanted to know if the ISMI springs for 8 rounders would fit the Wilson follower.
Thanks in advance.
Alpha Mike ?
No No, both are in the same hole.

+1 If you have Wilsons, use Wilson replacements, CMC PowerMags - CMC replacements, MetalForm - their replacements, and so on. Every maker has a different internal space due to variations in follower, base pad, and tube length and requires a specific number of coils and compression length.

Slightly different question, I have the CM 9 round 10mm mags and they seem to be under sprung. The lady at CM told me that the spring in them was the only one they had for that mag. Why wouldn't the power mag spring fit them? My gun runs great with the tripp 10mm and the regular wilson 47s but the bullet flips upright in front of the chamber with my CM 10mm mags.

Wilson mags do have a lifetime warranty. I am not sure about shipping mags back and forth overseas vs just ordering springs though.

Only thing I would think would matter would be the indention on the 10mm mag making the spring inside more narrow. So a power mag spring might bind? Its a good idea though, I've not yet had trouble with mine yet but I'm switching to tripps as fast as I can afford. Ya, know once I get the revo gear, new SS built...etc lol

Plus, the Power Mag springs are extremely strong. The strongest in the industry. You have to have a removable base plate to get them in when new. I tried to put new ones in a standard 8-round Shooting Star with welded base plate through the top and NO GO. FIDN'T DIT.

You might try the Wolf +5% replacement springs for the SS 8-rd magazines. They are not nearly as strong and colapse more easily when new.

Those are one of the reasons I've been using CMCs, they just never seem to wear out. Plus when you have to change them the springs don't cost as much as other mags.

I tried the Wolf and ISMI mag springs in my Wilson 47D's. Both would assemble in the mag tubes, however, they would not run in any of my 1911's. I'm back to the Wilson mags and Wilson springs.
