SL900 20ga. 3" shells possible?

Has any one here ever tried to modify a 20ga conversion kit for a 900 so that it can accept/handle/load 3" shells?

I love my 900 that I currently use for 12ga loads for clays.

But would prefer to use a smaller gauge for upland game.

I would go get a midrange MEC for this application but I am currently starving for space.
Trust takes time to build, seconds to lose,
and twice as long to regain as it did to build in the first place.
