A man among men. Could have been in the Rhodesian Army.

Craig and I did well in two man. We had a good lead overall, not just in AA, after day one. Then the shotguns came out. Good-bye 1st, hello first loooooser.

In three man we were first AA. We didnt choke quite as bad on the shotgun stuff.

I learned a few things this weekend.

Shooting a 22 is just too much fun.

My Lilja Barreled 10/22 is still a hammer with Eley Biathlon ammo.

My new TAC-SOL 2211 conversion is accurate enough to hit 3 inch plates at 80 yards offhand. I dont know who was more surprised, myself, Craig or the RO.

I need to practice offhand rifle, which includes remembering to shoot at the friggin 75 yard plate rack which Craig and I both forgot about when we got fixated on a 90 yard target.

I need to shoot more skeet and trap. I couldnt hit a damn thing.

Shooting my suppressed Tubb2000 at 1,100+ yards and actually hitting things, made my day.

We missed you guys. See you in May 2009? The following weekend will have a regional Steel Challenge 2 hours north in Pueblo.

Lones Wigger and NRA Whittington Center put on yet another outstanding STC match. As an added bonus you could not have asked for better weather.

The 2010 Spring regional will be early to mid May followed by the Steel Challenge in Pueblo Colorado Memorial Day Weekend. Make your plans now.
