Today we "broke ground" on our new bermed 5 bay practical range. Several years in the making, we finally got some money allocated, and began construction today. It's in a very low area, but not so low that flooding will occur. I've put up a web page with pictures that I'll update during the construction - expected to last another week.

Now that we won't have to set up on the rifle range anymore, we can do some more elaborate stages. We expect USPSA sanctioning of our pistol matches in a few months.

Awesome !!

Wish there were more dedicated ranges just for pistol and 3 gun instead of the typical 40 and 50 year old ranges/ DCM clubs that are dedicated to long range rifle and us action pistol and or 3 gun guys are just "tolerated".

Lots of hard work ahead of you guys but it will all be worth it

That is such great news. I'm about 45 minutes from BG and I will be at the matches. Can't Wait!

Thanks for building it ....We will be there to shoot it too. Now maybe with this new range in Ky. we can bring back the Ky. State pistol Championship :surprise:

We need a few more clubs in Ky. There's a lot of room for the sport of pistol shooting to grow within our state. Bowling Green is growing at a very rapid pace. There's no reason they can't support a very nice range. Remember.... advertise, advertise, advertise. Have a free sight your deer rifle day at the range or something like that and list it in all of the surrounding newspapers, radio stations and sporting goods stores. Going to a public range for the first time is very intimidating.
